Intro to Programming Meggy Jr RGB

How to make a Meggy Cozy

Games:

Arm-E - A twist on space invaders, with robotic arm goodness. Also includes a rudimentary actor and sound framework to make development a little simpler.

Sapper - Mine sweeping game

Ball_Buster - Ping Pong and avoid type game

Meggy Says - A nice version of Simon says for the Meggy.

Space Invaders - A great game of space invaders(Original Forum Post)(Google Code Download)

Flippin Bits site - lots of good games and a simulator to boot

Super Monkey Kong - Barrels upon barrels of Donkey Kong mayhem! (Google Code Download)

Dot - Capture the sun and avoid getting rained on! (more info at the Make post)

Begemmed - Not feature-complete yet: there's no sound, it doesn't prevent illegal moves, and it doesn't check to see when there are no moves left and the game's over. But it is playable, so I thought I'd throw it out there for people to play with.

Peg Solitare - Centuries old game you will surely recognize. Source provided so you can easily change the board from English to European.

Google Code project site - Many other games including (amongst others):

  • Ball Buster
  • Fireman Fireman
  • Plasma - although not technically a game, it is fun. (There is a secret version of Fireman Fireman that uses Plasma as a background, but you have to be really special to have it.)
  • MeggyChip

Included with the Meggy Jr Library (v 1.3) (Available here):

  • Attack of the Cherry Tomatoes (the built-in game)
  • Froggy Jr
Non-game applications

MeggyTwit - Scrolling-text Twitter reader for Meggy Jr RGB

Color Cube - Color switching program for the Meggy

Color Life Game - the game of life for Meggy, in full color!(Forum Post)(Video)

Meggy Jr Remote Push: Python script to draw to Meggy Jr. RGB a grid of colors stored on web server (requires Windell's MeggyJr_RemoteDraw Arduino sketch)

Included with the Meggy Jr Library (v 1.3) (Available here):

  • Meggy Brite (drawing app)
  • Binary Clock
  • ScrollText (readerboard app)

MeggySeq: MeggySeq is a step sequencer which sends values over a serial connection to another device, such as an Arduino with a Wave Shield attached.

Meggy Etch - A simple Etch-a-sketch program for Meggy.
