 Peggy 2 - Remote

I've had my Peggy 2 hanging on my wall for some time now and just recently completed the TV-B-Gone kit which got me thinking about the possibility of using a remote to control the buttons on my Peggy 2. Right now I have one button programmed to switch between animated characters and the directional buttons to control their movement on the screen. I'm lazy though and thought it would be cool to be able to control from across the room. Is this feasible? Is this way too complicated of a project for a beginner? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Willy

Yes, it's possible. The pins that are connected to the buttons (PC0-PC4) and PC5 are available for hooking up external hardware, either analog or digital-- you should certainly be able to use them to receive IR signals with an appropriate sensor.

Might be easiest if you use your own IR sender and receiver so that you can use simple, slow command codes for both.
