Please try downloading a fresh copy of XQuartz ( https://www.xquartz.org ) and run the installer. Restart your computer after installing, and run any available OS updates before trying to open XQuartz.
To open XQuartz (not Inkscape) for the first time, do so from the Applications folder: Right click (or control-click) on the icon and select Open from the pop-up menu there.
